The great door, ruined chapel, courtyard, winding stairways, and boxes of earth appear as evidence, while broken lines and unanswered spaces acknowledge everything the castle refuses to reveal.
Dracula himself never appears. The unease belongs to the place—and to the mind trying desperately to make sense of it.
